Business Development Manager

About the role
This is an exceptional opportunity to be a foundational member of fast-growing, high-performance sales team and to leverage our existing established high calibre broker network.
Key responsibilities
- Cultivate and grow the broker network from consistent and measurable sales activities.
- Originate new lending opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to structure and negotiate loan terms that align with both client needs and company policies.
- Maintain and strengthen key relationships with brokers and other referral partners.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes to provide informed advice to clients.
- Be an advocate for Capspace to your network and the industry including attending industry networking events.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets and performance metrics.
Skills and experience
Key competencies
- Proven experience in commercial lending, with a focus on SME clients.
- Proven experience in sales and business development, including the capability to complete cold calling and build relationships quickly.
- Proven track record in sales and activity management, including the use of CRM to record and maintain accurate records of this activity throughout the sales process.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, credit analysis, and risk management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using financial software and CRM systems.
